Getting Started

Delivery and Arrival

What to know about our service area, campground delivery, setup, and arrival procedures.

What areas does Cozy Turtle serve?

Cozy Turtle delivers RV rentals to participating campgrounds in Myrtle Beach and throughout the surrounding Grand Strand. Our service area includes Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Conway, Longs, Murrells Inlet, Georgetown, and nearby communities.

Local delivery and complete setup are free for qualifying campgrounds in the Myrtle Beach area. Delivery availability and mileage fees for other locations depend on the campground’s distance from our home base.

Do I need to be present when the RV is delivered?

No. You do not have to be present when we deliver and set up the RV. We will contact you the day before delivery to coordinate your expected arrival.

The RV will be unlocked, connected, and prepared for your arrival. Keys will be left on a hook or counter. We will also send pictures and instructions explaining how your rental works.

Please let us know through the established group text when you arrive and report any questions or concerns promptly.

What hookups should my campsite have?

We strongly recommend reserving a full-hookup campsite. A full-hookup site provides electrical, water, and sewer connections.

Your campsite must accommodate the complete length of the selected RV and provide the required electrical service. Review the RV specifications and campground site information before booking.

What if my campsite does not have full hookups?

Rentals at sites without full hookups may require a $50 wastewater dumping fee. We can provide a portable dump tank so you can empty the grey tank during your stay.

You will be responsible for emptying the portable tank as needed. Additional charges may apply if our team must return to perform this service.

What power is required outside a campground?

If the location does not have a proper 30-amp or 50-amp connection, we may require the use of one of our generators. This ensures the RV receives the correct electrical current and enough power for a safe and comfortable stay.

Make Life Cozy

During Your Stay

Instructions and support for using your RV safely and comfortably throughout your rental.

Who should I contact if I have a question or problem?

Please communicate questions or concerns through the group text established for your reservation. Reporting concerns promptly helps us resolve them and prevent additional problems.

After-hours emergency assistance is available for major mechanical concerns such as water leaks, drainage problems, electrical issues, refrigeration, and HVAC problems.

Issues involving the campsite or campground itself should be reported directly to campground management. Non-urgent items that do not prevent normal use of the RV will generally be addressed the following day.

How should I use the RV awning?

RV awnings are intended primarily to provide shade. Wind and collected rainwater are common causes of serious awning damage.

Retract the awning whenever you leave the RV, when winds exceed 10 mph, when the awning begins shaking or straining, or when heavy rain is expected. Make sure the awning is properly tilted so water cannot collect on top.

The renter is responsible for repair costs when damage results from failing to follow these requirements.

How do the black and grey tanks work?

At full-hookup campsites, the grey-tank pulls will normally be open when you arrive. The black-tank pulls will remain closed and should generally be opened at least every other day to drain the toilets.

We will provide instructions showing the location and operation of the tank controls for your specific rental.

Can I plug a golf cart or electric vehicle into the RV?

No. Golf carts and electric vehicles must not be plugged into the RV’s outlets. Use the campground’s electrical pedestal instead.

Charging through an RV outlet can damage the electrical panel, power cord, or converter.

What should I do with rented linens?

Place wet linens in a separate bag and leave them in the bathroom. Other used linens can be bagged and left in the primary bedroom or bunk room, depending on the RV you rented.

Rental Responsibilities

Rules and Checkout

Important requirements that protect the RV and help create a smooth checkout experience.

What should I do before checking out?

We understand that messes happen, but we ask that you wipe down surfaces, remove the trash, wash and put away dishes, and leave the RV reasonably clean. Basic cleaning supplies are provided as part of the prep fee.

Can the RV be moved during my stay?

If campground availability requires the RV to be moved to another site during your stay, a $150 relocation fee will be added to the reservation.

We strongly recommend purchasing a campsite lock, when available, so the campground cannot change your assigned site during the reservation.

Is smoking permitted inside the RV?

No. Cozy Turtle has zero tolerance for smoking inside its RVs. If evidence of smoking is found, the excessive-cleaning fee may be charged against the security deposit as outlined in the rental agreement.

Are pets permitted?

Most Cozy Turtle RVs permit pets. A non-refundable $50 fee applies per pet. Review the individual RV information and confirm that your selected campground also permits pets.

An excessive-cleaning fee may be charged against the security deposit if additional cleaning is required because of a pet.

Know Before You Book

Fees, Add-ons and Protection

Review common charges, optional add-ons, damage protection, and cancellation terms.

What is the Standard Prep Fee?

The Standard Prep Fee is $250. It covers RV setup, cleaning, tank sanitization, propane use, and starter essentials such as soap, wipes, paper towels, and RV-safe toilet paper.

What does the Damage Protection Plan cover?

All rentals require a Damage Protection Plan, which reduces your financial responsibility for qualifying accidental damage during the trip.

Coverage may include qualifying accidental interior or exterior damage, weather events, theft, and other covered incidents. Limitations and exclusions apply.

Review the complete Damage Protection Plan details.

Which optional add-ons are available?

Depending on availability, optional add-ons may include:

  • Linens and towels
  • Beach umbrellas
  • Beach chairs
  • Camping chairs
  • 10-foot by 10-foot canopy
  • Beach wagon
  • Large six-quart crock pot
  • Fire pit
  • Six-foot folding table
  • Blackstone griddle cooktop

Last-minute add-on requests received after 2:00 p.m. on the delivery date will not be delivered until the following morning.

What is the cancellation policy?

Reservation credits are valid for 24 months from the date of issuance and are offered first as the preferred form of reimbursement. A non-refundable $50 administrative fee is deducted from eligible cash refunds. This fee does not apply to credits.

30 or more days before delivery

Cancellations made at least 30 days before the scheduled delivery date are eligible for a full credit. If a cash refund is requested instead, the $50 administrative fee will be deducted.

15–29 days before delivery

Cancellations made 15–29 days before delivery are eligible for a full credit. A 50% cash refund may be available at Cozy Turtle’s discretion and is subject to the $50 administrative fee.

Fewer than 14 days before delivery

A credit or cash refund may be available solely at Cozy Turtle’s discretion. Eligible cash refunds remain subject to the $50 administrative fee.

Non-refundable charges

Pet fees, preparation and sanitization fees, Damage Protection Plan premiums, and unused prepaid services, add-ons, or optional products are not refundable.

Mandatory evacuations and emergencies

Cozy Turtle may issue a full credit when a cancellation directly results from a mandatory evacuation order affecting the rental site or the renter’s place of origin, a government-declared emergency that prevents delivery or access, or a legal order that prevents Cozy Turtle from performing the rental.

Hurricane or tropical-storm watches without a mandatory evacuation, personal emergencies, medical situations, and other extenuating circumstances may be considered at Cozy Turtle’s discretion.

Early retrieval

No refund or credit is issued when the renter asks Cozy Turtle to retrieve the RV before the scheduled retrieval date. The full reserved rental term remains payable.

The signed rental agreement contains the complete terms governing each reservation.
