Damage Protection Packages

Rental Protection Plan — Effective April 15, 2026

Overview

To ensure every rental is protected and to provide peace of mind to our guests, all Cozy Turtle RV Rentals include a required Damage Protection Package. Guests may select from three levels of protection based on their preferred level of financial exposure and trip support.

Important Notice: These packages are not insurance policies. They are damage protection plans that reduce the renter's financial responsibility for covered accidental damage during the rental period. These packages do not provide liability coverage. Cozy Turtle maintains fleet liability coverage of $1,000,000 CSL through American Modern Home Insurance Company (Policy No. 01C405015). Renters are added as Additional Insureds with limits of $25,000/$50,000 bodily injury and $25,000 property damage per accident. Renter coverage is voided upon breach of the Rental Agreement.

* Applicable to rentals of 4 or more nights only. Minor damage forgiveness and cleaning fee forgiveness are not available for rentals of fewer than 4 nights. For shorter rentals, the standard deductible applies to all claims.

Deductible Waiver Add-On

An optional Deductible Waiver is available for $150 and may be added to any protection tier at the time of booking. The waiver reduces the applicable deductible by $500, with a minimum deductible of $0.

What Is Covered

Coverage applies to sudden, direct, and accidental loss or damage to the RV during the rental period, including:

  1. Accidental exterior and interior damage
  2. Falling objects
  3. Fire and explosion
  4. Theft or vandalism
  5. Windstorm or hail
  6. Water or flood damage
  7. Contact with a bird or animal
  8. Broken glass

Universal Exclusions — All Tiers

The following are excluded from all Damage Protection Packages regardless of tier:

  1. Damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or violation of the Rental Agreement or Terms and Conditions
  2. Damage resulting from unauthorized movement or relocation of the RV
  3. Missing or stolen Cozy Turtle add-on items, accessories, or equipment
  4. Missing or stolen standard appliances, including coffee maker, toaster, cookware, etc.
  5. Grocery or food loss resulting from refrigerator or freezer issues
  6. Damage to faucets, sinks, or toilets resulting from misuse
  7. Mechanical failures of furniture components, including sofas, recliners, and beds
  8. Damage to or loss of TVs, radios, or other electronic media devices
  9. Screen door or window screen damage
  10. Damage to outdoor camping mats, outdoor kitchens, or grills
  11. Loss of renter keys or access items
  12. Stains or damage to linens provided by Cozy Turtle
  13. Intentional, wanton, or reckless damage
  14. Damage occurring after the rental period has ended
Note: Minor cosmetic damage, including scratches, dings, and broken trim, may be partially forgiven under the Enhanced and Elite tiers up to the applicable thresholds stated above.

Important Information

  1. A Damage Protection Package is required for all rentals and must be selected at the time of booking.
  2. Packages reduce your financial responsibility but do not eliminate it — the selected deductible applies per incident.
  3. Minor damage forgiveness and cleaning fee forgiveness benefits are available only on rentals of 4 or more nights. For rentals of fewer than 4 nights, the standard deductible applies to all claims regardless of tier.
  4. These packages are not insurance and do not provide liability coverage.
  5. Coverage applies only to accidental damage occurring during the rental period.
  6. All incidents must be reported to Cozy Turtle promptly and to law enforcement where required.
  7. Damage resulting from prohibited uses under the Terms and Conditions is not covered.

These benefits are subject to availability, third-party provider limitations, and situational factors beyond Cozy Turtle's control.

This document is a summary of protection plan benefits. Complete terms, conditions, and exclusions are set forth in the Cozy Turtle Rental Agreement and Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between this summary and the Rental Agreement or Terms and Conditions, the Rental Agreement or Terms and Conditions shall govern.
